Asisi Panometer Leipzig

The Asisi Panometer Leipzig and its monumental panorama painting “AMAZONIA - Yadegar Asisi’s Magical Picture of Nature” provide an exceptional setting for a special event. In the historic gasworks, every celebration becomes a banquet in the rainforest, enjoyed against the backdrop of the circular painting created by the Berlin architect and artist Yadegar Asisi and currently the largest in the world.

Trees growing far up into the sky, long roots appearing to hang down from the air, green twilight and a concert of many thousand animal voices – this is the fascinating world of the Amazon and is captured by Asisi in his new – and the world’s largest – 360° panorama “AMAZONIA - Yadegar Asisi’s Magical Picture of Nature”. It takes you on a visual expedition right into the heart of the dense forest along the mighty Amazon river. On a scale of 1:1, some 106 metres long and 30 metres high, “AMAZONIA - Yadegar Asisi’s Magical Picture of Nature” presents the complexity and beauty of the distant Brazilian rainforest.

Whether for a reception or a lecture, a gala dinner or a company party, the Asisi Panometer Leipzig will arrange every event individually, for two to 570 people. The areas suitable for events at the Asisi Panometer Leipzig, which is an historic gasworks dating from 1910, include both the interior with the panorama painting and the 6-metre tall panorama tower at the centre of the mounted circular picture.

A café, sanitary facilities, a cloakroom and a lift are located in the glass annex. A screen and beamer are also available and a stage can be set up. There are adequate parking facilities for cars and coaches directly outside the Asisi Panometer Leipzig.
